Stephen Owen
Senior Developer
What's your name and where do you come from:
I'm Steve Owen and I'm originally from the wilds of Shropshire.
Qualifications and job history:
I graduated from the University of Keele in 1999 with a BSc(Hons) in Computer Science and English. I was lucky enough to time things just right to be able to get funding for a PhD place, and so after graduation I returned to the Department of Computer Science and began research into Component-Based Software Engineering.
After participating in both teaching and research, I took on a full-time lecturing position in the Department in 2003, teaching a variety of computing topics on both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
In 2007 I finally submitted my PhD and decided to move away from academia (about 350 yards away).
How long have you been with Kent House:
I joined the company in September 2007.

Along with the development team, I'm responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of our products.
