NHS Primary Care Contracting
This is the web presence for the NHS Primary Care Contracting Team, working with the UK Department of Health. The site aims to communicate and engage with managers and clinicians on the key issues affecting development of primary care in the UK NHS.
The site was originally designed by another developer. Kent House improved the coding behind the design to make it more standards-compliant, accessible, and user-friendly. In the process, we reduced the download-size of each page by more than 60%, meaning that pages now appear much more quickly for users.
We also converted from static html pages to a dynamic set of pages driven by a content management system. This gives the client control over the site.
We built interactive features such as discussion forums, Q&A's, and an email newsletter service. these features help the client to communicate quickly, effectively, and cheaply with users.
The client has subsequently retained Kent House to provide ongoing development and support.
