Kent House work with Keele University by offering students temporary placements

7 May 2010

James Shields is in his 2nd year at Keele University studying Information Technology Management for Business (ITMB), and in his own words, "instead of spending hours in the library revising for exams, I have the pleasure to be working at Kent House for 6 weeks..."

He is offered this work placement as part of a double-weighted module for his course and is delighted at the opportunity to get work experience during term time. Commenting on his time at Kent House, James has this to say:  "My main aim is to gain as much knowledge as possible into what an IT-based business like Kent House does on a daily basis. By actively getting involved in the company’s work, I believe I am preparing myself for future employment and learning useful skills about business etiquette that could not be taught in a lecture theatre."

So far James has been involved in researching our client’s competitors, overshadowing business meetings and adding contacts to the marketing database.
