Imran Nazar

Developer

What's your name and where do you come from:

I'm Imran Nazar, and I hail from Rochdale, nestled in the foothills of the Pennines.

Qualifications and job history:

I graduated from Manchester with a BEng(Hons) in Electronic Engineering, in 2001. From there, I pursued the Cisco Network Associate industry certificate, but was called away from that by the offer of working in the southern regions of Turkey. I spent a year in Adana, unofficial capital of the south of Turkey, and plied my trade as a certification instructor, during which I was able to complete my CCNA qualification and gain a further Microsoft Systems Engineer certificate.

Upon my return to the UK, I was able to use the experience of instruction in Turkey to land a series of development contracts, primarily in the field of web development. It was in this capacity that I was brought on by Kent House, to further the good work done by previous contractors on the full range of Kent House's products.

How long have you been with Kent House:

I joined the company in August 2007.

What is your role within Kent House:

My responsibility is the development of Kent House's flagship product, EventManager: maintenance of our existing installations, addition of features and performance enhancements all fall under my remit.

Likes / dislikes:

Dislikes: The daily commute down the M6.

Likes: Heavy reading, mainly of chunky reference manuals, and technical writing.
