Do the invitation emails have to be sent using the EventManagerTM email system?

You can issue invitation emails from your local email exchange but those invitations won’t be tracked in your installation as you’ll not be able to generate the unique tracking code that is added to invites issued from your EventManagerTM installation.

Can I automatically email to groups of delegates?

Yes, you can invite groups of delegates from previous events and also email direct to a group of users that have attended a series of events that you have run before.

My invitation email was not received – Why?

There are a number of reasons for emails not being delivered to users:

  • Incorrect information in the users profile: if the users email address has changed or they have input it into the system incorrectly then the email will not be delivered;
  • System delivery failure:
  • Firewalled
  • Blocked

What type of emails can I send?

That’s a two pronged question! You can issue:

  • Invitations
  • Bulk emails
  • Reminder emails
  • Reissue of booking details
  • Evaluation emails
  • Evaluation chase emails

For invitations you have the option for a ‘standard’ and an ‘advanced’ email, where advanced allows you to send a full html email along with a plain text alternative. In order to ensure deliverability for key event related emails the auto-generated and bulk email modules use plain text emails that can be adapted to incorporate logos/banners.

How many emails can I send?

There’s no limit to the number of emails that you can issue from your installation

Can I send attachments with my email?

Attachments can be added to bulk emails and reminder emails

How do I add the URL link to my emails?

For the vast majority of emails that you issue from the system the option to add a link to your event is offered to you either as part of the email template that is being called in or via a custom option in the set-up of the email. It’s a simple as clicking a link…

From how far out from my event can I use EventManager,TM to promote it?

With the option to hold back the display and registration dates you can open your event for viewing and/or booking as far out as you wish. We’ve set-up events that have come online for us while we’ve been away on leave or just out of the office. EventManagerTM takes care of it all for you!

Does EventManagerTM ensure that I comply with Data Protection Rules?

EventManagerTM is set-up to comply with the data protection act. All users registering with your system are asked to opt in/out for marketing contact which means that they have confirmed their preference in relation to DPA. As data is stored in a secure server environment that is monitored 24/7 EventManagerTM is always looking after your interests and the interests of those users that have signed up to your installation. Whilst EventManagerTM helps you to comply with the DPA how you use the data that you collect is as important a part of this query. You’re prompted during mass email set-up to confirm if users that have opted out for contact should be included – it’s your choice to tick them in.
