Birmingham OwnHealth
Birmingham OwnHealth needed a website to promote their initiative and its values.
Birmingham OwnHealth is a partnership project by Birmingham East & North PCT, NHS Direct, and Pfizer Health Solutions. It aims to improve the care of people with long term conditions in Birmingham through a joined-up approach based on regular telephone-based coaching from highly experienced care managers.
The purpose of the initial website is to promote the service. So, it contains information about the programme's goals and methodology, contact information and directories, and liberal use of video to communicate more engagingly and effectively.
It is envisaged that later phases of the project will make use of online technology to support the operation of the programme - perhaps involving social networking techniques as well as integration of email and mobile phone services.
